We miss home most when we’re far away from it, and it seems British-Egyptian Dena Anuk$a shares the same feelings. Her latest neo-soul release, Revolution, under the management of Nxgen Music Group, features the Egyptian Goddess, Ma’at on the album art cover. Anuk$a has been writing poetry and lyrics since the age of nine, so it should not come as a surprise that she is capable of eloquently expressing her views in Revolution.
“Revolution has a soulful but edgy hook that contrasts with the rap flows in the verses”, shared Anuk$a. “The lyrics touch on topics such as equality, the media, systematic racism and standing for unity and justice in troubling times. I wanted to combine my Egyptian roots with my UK experience and speak on issues that I am passionate about”.
