We can’t deny that animation movies with Arabic dubbing are a guilty pleasure to many Egyptians (grownups and children alike). Can you blame us for loving Monsters, Inc. and Toy Story in Arabic more? Anyhow, Netflix is dropping the Arabic version for its new animation film, Over the Moon, soon, and guess what! Our very own Carmen Soliman will be singing the Arabic version of the theme song, Rocket to the Moon!
Yesterday, the leading online streaming platform unveiled the news. The song will be released this Friday on all platforms; however, the movie itself will be out on the 23rd of October. It’ll be out in both standard Arabic and the Egyptian dialect.
Over the Moon follows the story of a little girl who builds a rocketship and embarks on an adventure to prove the existence of a mythical moon goddess. The animation movie is written by Audrey Wells and directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Glen Keane.
